PDN proudly presents the winners of the 14th annual PIX
Digital Imaging Contest. The following gallery recognizes the
outstanding creative work of these photographers and the teams with
whom they work, including retouchers, digital technicians and CGI
artists.
Last year we introduced five new categories: Advertising Campaigns,
Portraits/Celebs/Music, Travel/Lifestyle, Fashion/Beauty and New
Talent. For the second year in a row, the winning images in these
categories have been remarkable. Take, for example, Pete Barrett's
work for AT&T Wireless, which is both playful yet effective
with new and exciting images; Massimo Gammacurta's imaginative
editorial work with flowers and fashion-house logos, which deserves
a closer look; and Barbara Karant's lovely photographs of
greyhounds, which create modern graphic shapes and also give us a
heartwarming look at these graceful animals. This year we decided
to bring back the Web section—check out winner Marc Tule’s work on
these pages and at
www.marctule.com.
We hope the 14th annual PIX Digital Imaging Contest winners inspire
you to embrace digital photography. With all of the tools and new
technology available to enhance this medium, the possibilities are
endless—so get out there, enjoy your time behind the camera (and
the computer) and we hope to hear from you again next year.
